Mayor Shin Sang-jin said the plan was announced without prior consultation by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, adding that he is concerned about intensifying traffic congestion due to overcrowding, and stressed that the supply plan, which is expected to damage residents, cannot be accepted.
City plans to urge the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to utilize development-restricted zones with low preservation value in relation to the supply of new housing.
Mayor Shin previously called for a review of the housing supply plan in Yatap-dong, saying in a statement on the 23rd that detailed plans are lacking and only confusion among residents is intensifying.
The plan was announced by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport as part of the first new city migration support measures.
