At the plenary session of the National Assembly, National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-sik proposed the impeachment of Han Deok-soo, acting president and prime minister, and voted for the approval of a majority of financial lawmakers.

Before the vote after the introduction of the impeachment bill, Chairman Woo said that the decision was made in accordance with Article 65 (2) of the Constitution because it was the impeachment motion of Prime Minister Han Deok-soo.

The chairman then explained that he had the authority to organize the opinions of the National Assembly in accordance with Article 10 of the National Assembly Act and that he judged the quorum of decisions by comprehensively reviewing the opinions of the constitutional academia and the National Assembly Legislative Investigation Office.

The People's Power, which has claimed that the quorum of Han's impeachment votes is two-thirds of the registered lawmakers, or more than 200 seats, which is the "presidential standard," protested to Chairman Woo, shouting slogans such as "nullity of source" and "resignation of the chairman."
