Jeongeup and Sunchang Snow Warning in Jeollabuk-do...Heavy snow watch in parts of South Jeolla Province

The heavy snow warning issued in Jeonbuk and Jeollanam-do has been partially lifted.

The Korea Meteorological Administration said that heavy snow warnings are currently in place in Jeongeup and Sunchang, Jeollabuk-do, and heavy snow warnings are in place in four regions: Gochang and Buan, Gunsan and Gimje.

Snow warnings are maintained in five areas of Jeollanam-do, including Damyang, Jangseong, and Hwasun, Gwangju Metropolitan City, and Jeju Mountain.

While 20cm of heavy snow has already fallen in Jeongeup, Jeollabuk-do, the west coast of Jeollabuk-do, the southern part of Jeollabuk-do, and the mountains of Jeju are expected to receive up to 10cm of snow until today, and up to 5cm in Gwangju and Honam.

A heavy snow warning is issued when new snow is expected to accumulate for more than 5cm in 24 hours, and when the warning is more than 20cm and in mountainous areas more than 30cm.
