According to the Korea National Oil Corporation's oil price information system, the average price of gasoline at gas stations nationwide is 1,662.2 won in the fourth week of this month.
The rise was 9 won per liter from the previous week, followed by 3.6 won in the first week, 4.3 won in the second week and 7 won in the third week.
Diesel also rose 9.7 won to 1,507.2 won per liter.
It is the first time in four months that it has exceeded 1,500 won since 1,51.2 won in the fourth week of August.
International oil prices have not fluctuated much this month, but the won-dollar exchange rate has soared, increasing domestic oil prices.
The Korea National Oil Association predicted that the rise in domestic sales prices will continue next week, as the won-dollar exchange rate has increased.
