Israeli forces forced the eviction of Kamal Adwan Hospital, a major medical facility in northern Gaza, and set it on fire on the 27th local time, foreign media reported.

"Israeli forces ordered the building to be evacuated with all patients after a forced siege," CNN said, citing hospital officials.

According to the Associated Press, Gaza's health ministry said Israeli forces set fire to various hospital operating rooms and laboratory buildings, causing the fire to spread throughout the medical complex.

"Before the operation, patients and medical staff were allowed to evacuate safely and a small fire broke out in an empty hospital building," the Israeli military said, denying responsibility.

"The Israeli military's raid on Kamal Adwan Hospital has halted operations at the last major medical facility in northern Gaza," the World Health Organization (WHO) said in a statement.

The Israeli military has stressed that Hamas fighters used the hospital as their base to operate throughout the war, while Hamas has countered that it is a lie.

Since October, Israel has effectively blocked Beit Rahiya and Zabaliya in northern Gaza and has been intensively carrying out Hamas sweeps.Israeli attacks targeting inside and outside hospitals in northern Gaza,
