Even in sub-zero weather, downtown Seoul was busy with citizens demanding the resignation of President Yoon Suk Yeol.

In the vicinity of Gwanghwamun, a counter-meeting against the impeachment of the president was held, and some traffic was blocked.

The Gwanghwamun neighborhood in Seoul was packed with citizens even in the cold, when the midday temperature reached minus 5 degrees Celsius.

Armed with a thick coat, gloves and a scarf, he demanded the immediate resignation of Yoon Suk Yeol's president.

[Lee Young-hoon / Gwangju City, Gyeonggi Province] It's cold, but I came here to cheer up with my son.]

Likewise, the mother, who visited the rally with her two children, expressed her earnestness for the society in which the children would live.

[Lee Hye-eun / Paju City, Gyeonggi Province] I wanted to spend a meaningful time with my children. And I just wanted to give it to children in a peaceful world, a world where they can live comfortably....]

After the rally, citizens marched through the Constitutional Court to Myeong-dong, continuing their calls for the dismissal of President Yoon.

In the midst of this, a counter-meeting by conservative groups was held in Gwanghwamun.

"Impeachment invalid"

They argued that emergency martial law was the president's unique act of governance and that impeachment was invalid.

Some roads, including Sajik-ro and Hyoja-ro around Gwanghwamun, were once blocked by impeachment and anti-impeachment rallies that filled downtown Seoul.
