In a rural village in France, there is a class to wrap gifts with our traditional cloth, which is a good opportunity to gauge the current status of K-culture.

It is said that the cloth class was conducted with support from government offices, not individuals.

At the after-school party, we naturally appeared to eat Korean food such as gimbap and kimchi.

Reporter Kang Ha-na in Paris has the news.

It is a rural village in central and northern France.

Participants are busy making something with colorful cloths.

On the other hand, the hand wrapping books and wine with a cloth is quite serious.

I'm not good at wrapping gifts with cloth, not paper, but I try to improve my skills by taking shape according to the instructor's explanation.

[Marine / Class Participant: I like it because I think I can do a nice Christmas gift wrapping. At the beginning of the class, I heard about Korea while listening to the history of cloth.]

[Annette / Class Participant: I want to know more about Korea after hearing about Korea in the faux pas class.]

Marjorie, who planned the event, said she fell in love with the colors and patterns of the cloth at a glance when she first visited Korea two years ago.

[Marjorie / Foggy Instructor: I took a foggy class when I went to Korea two years ago, and my interest in foggy grew. Foggy is one of my favorites in Korea. (Fabric) can prevent paper waste and can be used again next time.]

Lee Seung-hyeop, who served as a cloth class helper, said, "It is surprising that people in rural villages, not even French cities, are interested in our culture.

[Lee Seung-hyeop / Bo-Jae class assistant: I was so happy that I was interested in Korean culture in a small city. I was very interested in making hydrangeas into that cloth.]

After class, students with colorful cloths headed to Marjorie's house.

Gimbap is prepared at a small afterparty.

The table setting with kimchi seems to be at a Korean home.

Marjorie used to say, 'If you accept a different culture, you can enrich your life,'

As you say, our culture is becoming a catalyst for making the lives of people around the world colorful.
