The Ministry of National Defense said today (29th) that it is taking measures to identify military support needs such as medical and rescue personnel and to support the site.
The military has so far deployed 180 troops, including Army regional units and special forces rapid response units, as well as support personnel and equipment such as military fire engines and ambulances, and is also waiting to deploy military helicopters.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff also said that the Ministry of National Defense and the Joint Chiefs of Staff are actively supporting available forces in close cooperation with relevant ministries regarding the Muan Airport accident.
