The Jeju Air flight, which caught fire during landing, was confirmed to have been in disaster less than a month after regular service at Muan International Airport in Jeollanam-do.

According to South Jeolla Province on the 29th, Jeju Air has started operating regular flights in Nagasaki, Taiwan, Taipei, Thailand, Bangkok, Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, and Jeju since the 8th.

Flight 7C2216, an accidental passenger plane, traveled between Bangkok and Muan four times a week.

Jeju Air first launched at Muan Airport in April 2018, but this was the first regular flight operation.

It was launched on three routes: Osaka, Japan, Da Nang, Vietnam, and Bangkok, Thailand, but suspended all flights in 2020 due to the spread of COVID-19.

In April, it resumed operation after four years, starting with the Jeju-Muan route, which is a domestic flight.

Jeju Air began operating international routes this month after Muan Airport began operating its first daily international flight in 17 years.

Residents of Gwangju and Jeollanam-do do not have to go to Incheon International Airport and can use the airport parking lot for free, so the response to the daily route was good.

Jeju Air apologized on its website, saying, "We Jeju Air will do everything we can for this accident," adding, "We are sorry for the concern."
