Regarding the aircraft accident at Muan Airport in Jeollanam-do, the ruling and opposition parties called an emergency meeting at the party level, asking related authorities to save lives quickly.

The presidential office also held an emergency senior meeting presided over by the chief of staff.

Kwon Sung-dong, the floor leader of the People's Power Party, asked on social media as soon as the news of the accident was announced, asking for the top priority to save lives by mobilizing all available equipment and manpower.

Kwon Young-se, the nominee for emergency committee chairman, also wrote on social media that the ruling party will actively cooperate with the government to do its best to deal with the situation and prevent a recurrence.

Kim Dae-sik, the floor's chief spokesman, also held a press conference at the National Assembly a while ago and asked for the rescue of passengers and the safety of on-site personnel.

Regarding the party leadership's plan to visit the site, he said, "We will carefully review the plan, saying there are concerns that it may be a stumbling block to the accident."

Former CEO Han Dong-hoon also said on social media that he hopes the fire authorities will do their best so that even one more person can be saved, and that he prays with the same heart as all the people.

The ruling party called an emergency meeting in the afternoon, attended by members of the Public Administration and Security Commission and the Land, Infrastructure and Transport Commission.

Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party, also said on social media that every minute is an urgent crisis and called for the full mobilization of administrative power and available resources.

The National Assembly and the Democratic Party also added that they will do everything they can to deal with the accident.

Hwang Jung-ah also said in a commentary that it is the government's first responsibility to protect the lives and safety of the people and told the authorities to do their best to save lives.

The Democratic Party also held an emergency supreme council meeting from 1 p.m., and after a while, it said it would form an air accident countermeasure committee with supreme council member Joo Chul-hyun as its chairman.

Chairman Lee Jae-myung told reporters after the meeting that as the situation is severe, he repeatedly asked the government authorities to mobilize all available resources to recover and support them as quickly as possible.

National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-sik also said in a statement that he sent Chief of Staff Cho Oh-seop to Muan Airport, saying he would support what the National Assembly should do as much as possible.

The presidential office also held an emergency meeting of senior secretaries this morning, presided over by Chief of Staff Jeong Jin-seok, to discuss ways to deal with the accident.
