The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport is investigating the cause of the accident by securing flight recorders and voice recorders that would have contained the situation at the time of the disaster.

However, it seems that it will take some time to determine the clear cause. Reporter Hwang Bo Hye-kyung!

Please tell us what came out of today's last briefing by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.

[Reporter]
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport held its fifth briefing at 7 p.m. today and explained how the accident has been identified so far.

First of all, the nine-minute situation from the initial landing attempt to the crash is the same as the previous briefing.

The plane, which had an accident, first attempted to land on the runway at 8:54 a.m. before taking off again.

And three minutes later, at 8:57 a.m., I received a bird movement warning from the control tower.

Two minutes later, the pilot made a distress call,

Four minutes later, around 9:03 a.m., the final collision occurred.

It has not yet been confirmed why the plane was reinstated during the first landing attempt.

We are also investigating why the landing gear did not unfold normally and landed on the fuselage at the time of landing.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport explained that the possibility of a bird collision seems high in terms of communication, but it has not been confirmed whether there has actually been a bird collision.

However, he said that there was no problem with operating weather conditions such as wind direction and wind speed at the time.

He also added that at the time of the accident, there were a total of four bird collision prevention personnel at Muan Airport, one of whom was working outdoors.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has secured both types of black boxes, flight recorders and voice recorders.

We believe that if we investigate this record, we will know the exact circumstances.

The Muan Airport runway where the accident occurred will be closed until 5 a.m. on January 1 next year.

Starting tomorrow, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport will hold regular briefings twice a day at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. to deliver newly confirmed news.

So far, I'm YTN Hwang Bo Hye-kyung from the Ministry of Economy.
