The National Fire Agency said today (29th) that it has recovered 179 deaths and rescued two crew members at the scene of the plane disaster.
Of the dead, 84 were male and 85 were female, and 10 had not yet been identified by gender.
A total of 88 people have been identified, and the police plan to take DNA from the bereaved families and identify the rest of the dead.
Jeju Air Flight 7C2216 was scheduled to leave Bangkok, Thailand, at 1:30 a.m. today (29th) and land at Muan International Airport in Jeollanam-do at 8:30 a.m., but it exploded during an emergency landing.
At that time, the plane had six crew members and 175 passengers, and two of them were Thai.
