The Military Manpower Administration said it has allocated 6,500 active enlistment targets to military service designated companies and shipping and fisheries companies that can be transferred to professional research personnel, industrial technical personnel, and boarding reservists next year.

Among them, 2,300 professional researchers, 3,200 industrial technical personnel, and 1,000 boarding reservists.

Professional researchers with master's degrees or higher were assigned to research institutes in future strategic businesses such as semiconductors, industrial technical personnel to key industries and agriculture and fisheries, and boarding reserves to shipping companies and fisheries companies, respectively.

Regarding the allocation of industrial technical personnel, the Military Manpower Administration explained that it first allocated vocational high school graduates to companies that hired vocational high school graduates such as specialized high schools.
