The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, which is in charge of investigating the cause of the Jeju Air accident, is moving the collected flight recorders to the analysis center.

He said he is also considering checking the entire Boeing B737-800 model, which is an accident, and I'm connecting with a reporter.

Reporter Kim Ki-bong! Has the flight recorder been fully collected?

[Reporter]
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said it collected both black boxes, the flight recorder FDR and the voice recorder CVR.

However, the voice recorder (CVR) of the two has a full appearance, but the flight recorder FDR said some of the appearance was damaged.

The investigation authorities have been moving these recording devices from the accident site to the Gimpo Airport Test and Analysis Center since 10 a.m., and will start investigating whether the contents are properly stored as soon as they arrive.

If the contents of the flight recorder are damaged, it may be difficult to investigate.

Aircraft manufacturer Boeing and engine manufacturer will also participate in the accident investigation, but Boeing has received a response from the company and the engine maker says it is waiting for a response.

In addition, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said that the aircraft did not land from the end of the runway at the time of the accident, but rather from a third.

It is estimated that it landed 1,200 meters out of the 2,800-meter runway and had a runway distance of 1,600 meters and a collision wall of 1,850 meters, but it is said that further investigation will be needed to determine why it landed in the middle point.

Reporter Kim! The problem of landing gear of the accident aircraft was also mentioned, right?

[Reporter]
Yes, it is.

This morning, another accident occurred in which Jeju Air's same aircraft returned due to a landing gear problem.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport explained that it dispatched an aviation safety supervisor to Jeju Air and started an investigation.

At the same time, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport decided to prioritize special inspections of this model and sent an official letter to each airline.

Boeing's B737-800 aircraft, the accident model, accounts for 39 out of 41 planes operated by Jeju Air, and 101 are operated across the country, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said.

At the same time, the time from declaring Mayday to the actual landing was too short for the failure to spray bubbles on the runway at the time of the aircraft's fuselage landing,
It said the mandatory rule was eliminated due to other side effects, such as the fact that spraying the
foam would slide the gas and cause a bigger accident.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport will brief additional findings at 3 p.m.
