A day after the disaster, Jeju Air's same model returned to the country due to the same problem, and previously, it was found that the plane of that model suffered a hydraulic device or landing gear error in other countries.
According to the aviation news outlet Simple Flying on the 29th local time, a Boeing 737-800 KLM (Dutch Airline) plane departing from Oslo Gardermoen Airport in Norway to Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam, Netherlands, made an emergency landing by detouring to Oslo Torf Sandefjord Airport.
According to KLM, the plane carrying 182 people changed course for an emergency landing after a loud noise occurred.
The plane made an emergency landing but was able to come off the runway and stop completely on the grass. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the landing.
The aircraft was found to have suffered a hydraulic system failure. Local media in Norway reported that smoke was observed in the plane's left engine, and that the Norwegian Accident Investigation Committee was investigating the cause of the accident.
According to the media, the pilot said, "We couldn't control the plane. The plane bent to the right and we couldn't stop it," he stated.
Earlier on October 11, a Boeing 737-800 plane belonging to India's Air India Express, which was heading to the United Arab Emirates, returned two and a half hours after takeoff because it could not fold its landing gear due to a hydraulic failure.
