The National Police Agency's special investigation team, which investigates the emergency martial law incident, said the arrest warrant for President Yoon Suk Yeol indicated rebellion and abuse of authority.

He also explained that Prosecutor General Shim Woo-jung, Prosecutor General Park Se-hyun, Deputy Prime Minister Choi Sang-mok, and Acting National Police Agency Commissioner Lee Ho-young were also booked last week after receiving complaints from civic groups.

The police explained that 45 suspects have been investigated so far, including 21 party officials, including President Yoon and Prime Minister Han Deok-soo, 19 soldiers, and 5 police officers.

In addition to the NIS chief, who attended the Cabinet meeting on the day of martial law, Yoo In-chon, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, is also a suspect.

Minister Yoo was previously charged and booked in connection with controlling access to Korean arts during martial law.
