The Korea Communications Standards Commission decided to hold a general meeting on the 6th of next month to deliberate on KBS and MBC news, which broadcasted the scene of the Jeju Air plane disaster at Muan International Airport in Jeollanam-do without filtration.

The violations of the relevant regulations received by the Korea Communications Standards Commission include KBS and MBC news, which broadcasted the on-site report screen as it was, and MBC news, which briefly aired a screen containing subtitles unrelated to the broadcast content, such as "Impeachment 817" during the news special report.

Another MBC news case in which the East Sea is marked as Sea of Japan (Sea of Japan) in a graphic showing air routes is also subject to deliberation.

The Korea Communications Standards Commission asked each broadcaster to comply with the committee's disaster broadcasting review regulations and its own disaster broadcasting rules, and at the same time ordered the Broadcasting Review Bureau to strengthen monitoring of compliance with broadcasting review regulations.

In particular, it requested that there be no secondary harm, including human rights violations, such as repeated transmission of provocative scenes at the scene at the time of the accident, reporting on the cause of the unidentified accident, interviewing bereaved families without consent, and disclosure of personal information.
