The memorial altar will run from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day until the 4th of next month, when the government declared it a period of national mourning.
Incheon Metropolitan City Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok, Incheon Superintendent of Education Do Sung-hoon, and Incheon Metropolitan City Council Chairman Jeong Hae-kwon visited the joint memorial altar to pay their respects.
During the mourning period, Incheon City decided to post a banner commemorating the victims along with raising the flag at an early date to the city and its affiliated public institutions and government offices.
Staff join the mourning of the victims by attaching memorial ribbons.
The Incheon Metropolitan Government also canceled the year-end festival scheduled for tomorrow (31st) at the outdoor plaza of the Incheon Culture and Arts Center.
