The Joint Investigation Headquarters, which investigates the emergency martial law situation, has requested an arrest warrant for President Yoon Suk Yeol, who is suspected of being the head of a rebellion.

This is unprecedented in constitutional history, and President Yoon decided that it was necessary to secure forced recruits as he refused to comply with the summons one after another.

The high-ranking government official's crime investigation office and the joint investigation headquarters, which participated in the police, requested an arrest warrant for President Yoon Suk Yeol.

As soon as the third recall notice date passed, the Korea Communications Standards Commission filed a warrant request in a surprise move.

The government requested attendance three times, including the 18th, the 25th, and the 29th, but

President Yoon refused to accept the request for attendance one after another and refused to comply.

It is believed that President Yoon, the suspect, did not respond to the request for attendance several times without justifiable reasons, and began to secure a new person.

For the first time in the constitutional history, Cho Dong-bon, who attempted a forced investigation of an incumbent president, charged President Yoon with the head of a rebellion and abuse of authority.

The warrant was filed with the Seoul Western District Court, which has jurisdiction over President Yoon's official residence in Hannam-dong, Seoul, under the name of Cha Jung-hyun, the chief prosecutor of the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit.

Along with the arrest warrant, the government is also seeking to secure evidence of martial law by requesting a search warrant such as an official residence.

The court will decide whether to issue a warrant after reviewing whether President Yoon's charges or the need for arrest have been clarified.

An official from the police special investigation team met with reporters and emphasized that if a warrant is issued, actual execution should be carried out.

However, some observers say that even if an arrest warrant is issued, instead of executing it directly, President Yoon may be asked to attend once again.
