On the second day of the disaster, Deputy Minister of Public Administration and Security Ko Ki-dong, acting Minister of Public Administration and Security, visited Muan, Jeollanam-do.

After inspecting the Muan-gun Office's Disaster and Safety Situation Room and the joint memorial altar, Goh said he would do his best to deal with the accident and announced a plan to provide 1 billion won in special grant tax for disasters in Jeollanam-do.

The Ministry of Public Administration and Security, the disaster management department, operates the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters about two hours after the accident, and oversees the management of the accident, but there are concerns about the response process.

Acting President Choi Sang-mok, who has no experience in responding to disasters, took over as the head of the major disaster headquarters a day after Prime Minister Han Deok-soo passed the impeachment bill.

Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Park Sang-woo and acting Minister of Public Administration and Security Ko Ki-dong are in charge of the first and second deputy directors of the Central Disaster Headquarters, and the police head in charge of identifying the victims is also currently an acting system.

In other words, most of the key positions in the safety control tower are operated under an agency system.

In addition, the Korea Airports Corporation, which manages Muan Airport, the site of the accident, has also been vacant for eight months since former President Yoon Hyung-joong, who was appointed during the Moon Jae In government, resigned.While it is expected to take a considerable amount of time to deal with the

accident and determine the exact cause, we are concerned about whether the disaster control tower will be able to operate properly in the impeachment process.
