Foreign media reported that the bereaved families of Thailand, who died along with 177 South Koreans in the Jeju Air disaster, are struggling to recover the body of the deceased and take them back home.

According to local media, the bereaved families, including the father of the victims in Udon Thani province in northeastern Thailand, are waiting for the repatriation of their bodies to hold a traditional Buddhist funeral in their hometown.

The 45-year-old Thai victim came to Korea to work seven years ago and met her Korean husband and married him.

After that, I visited my hometown once a year, and this year, I came to Thailand with my husband to travel to Chiang Mai, a famous tourist destination in the north, and visited my hometown.

On the 14th, my husband returned to Korea first, but the Thai victim was on a flight to Korea after traveling to Pichit Province in northern Thailand and was defecated.

The victim's father sobbed, saying, "I have come to accept that my deceased daughter will not return. I want to recover her remains and make her have a Buddhist funeral and rest in peace."
