According to local media on the 30th, Thai police raided a two-story house in Pattaya Bangramung, central Thailand, on the 28th.
Here, the police arrested 13 Koreans who operated an online Korean gambling site for Koreans.
The gambling sites they operated were found to have processed more than KRW 5.2 billion in funds transactions of 120 million baht in the past three months alone with various gambling such as sports betting, baccarat, and slot machines.
Police also said they searched two other nearby homes believed to be staff quarters and found additional evidence, including a safe, but some suspects fled the scene.
Thai authorities are working with the Korean Embassy to crack down on illegal online gambling and fraud, he added.
