South Jeolla Province said yesterday that the bodies of two victims of the Jeju Air plane disaster were transported to a funeral home in Gwangju Metropolitan City, while the other was transported to Seoul.
One of the two victims who were transferred to Gwangju will go through Samiljang from tomorrow (1st) and be pronounced on January 2 next year, so the day after tomorrow (2nd).
More than 160 of the 179 Jeju Air victims have been identified, with the rest of the bodies still undergoing a genetic verification process.
A mobile freezer was reportedly installed at the scene of the accident to temporarily place the recovered body.
Two Thai people are among the victims, and the bereaved families entered Korea last night.
