Shares of U.S. Boeing, which manufactured the Boeing 737-800, an accident model in the Muan Airport Jeju Air plane disaster, fell on the New York Stock Exchange.
Boeing, which has lost a lot of credibility not only in the aviation business but also in the space business due to a series of safety-related negative factors, faces the biggest crisis in the disaster.

Shares of U.S. Boeing, which manufactured the Boeing 737-800, the crash model of the Muan airport plane disaster, remained weak on the New York Stock Exchange.
The Boeing 737-800 accounts for 15% of the world's flying aircraft and is a bestseller with more than 100 operating in the country.
[David Soucy / Former Federal Aviation Administration aviation safety inspector: The 737-800 has thousands of these aircraft in service to the aviation industry as it plays a key role in the United States as well as globally]
However, there were a series of safety-related accidents in China in 2022, including a crash in which 134 passengers were killed, and recently a landing device caused problems in India.
One day after the disaster, the same model had a problem with the landing gear and returned.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has begun a special inspection of the 737-800 and the U.S. National Transportation Safety Commission is also investigating the cause, drawing attention from the aviation industry around the world.
[Justin Green / U.S. Aviation Accident Attorney] If it's a bird crash, you'll want to know every airline, especially where you're flying the next generation of Boeing 737s.]
Earlier, Boeing experienced a crisis in which the 737 Max, the successor to the 737-800, was grounded at one point after a series of major crashes due to faulty issues.
The manned spacecraft "Starliner" was also focused on reducing costs, such as finding defects, but it is said that problems in Boeing culture, which simplifies safety management, have been revealed.
Compared to early 2024, Boeing's stock is down about a third.
Boeing, whose credibility has fallen significantly in the aircraft business as well as the space business, has faced its biggest crisis in the disaster.
