"Flight Recorder Connectors Lost Status"
Lost Part Size…Checking for data extraction
"The last two hours of communication, the voice recorder, is intact"
Eleven domestic investigators and eight U.S. joint investigators arrived at the scene.
Korean and U.S. investigators have launched an investigation into the accident site to investigate the cause of the Jeju Air plane disaster.
In addition, a black box investigation has been launched, but some parts have been confirmed to be lost, drawing attention to whether they will be restored.
I'm connecting with the reporter. Reporter Kim Ki-bong! First of all, tell us what the status of the black box is!

Yes, the investigation into the two black boxes that were moved to the Gimpo Airport Analysis Center yesterday began.
Investigators first cleaned the black box to check the condition, and one of the two, the flight recorder, was found to have a problem.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said that the flight recorder has a unit that stores information and a unit that supplies power, and the connector connecting the two units has been lost.
This connector is a kind of connecting line concept, so it is difficult to find it at the site because it is small in size, and we are first investigating whether it is possible to extract information in the absence of this connector.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said that the condition of the voice recorder, another black box, is not considered to be a problem.
In the meantime, 11 domestic accident investigators and eight U.S. joint investigators have arrived at the accident site and are conducting basic investigations. The U.S. joint investigator
is one member of the Federal Aviation Administration, three members of the Transportation Safety Board, and four employees of Boeing, who will consult with them on specific personal information and individual specialties before revealing them, the ministry said.
It said there were two controllers in the control tower at the time of the accident, and the results of the investigation so far came from recorded conversations and interviews with the controllers.
The runway at Muan Airport, which was originally supposed to be closed until the dawn of the 1st, said it would extend its closure period to the 7th.

And many problems with the localizer facility that the aircraft hit are mentioned, but was there any explanation for this?
[Reporter]
In today's briefing, there were many questions and answers about the problems or nonconformities of the localizer, but there was no clear conclusion.
It raises the problem that the damage was increased because it was made of a hard and high concrete structure too close to the runway.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said there was no problem with the installation regulations.
The detailed guidelines of the Airport Facilities Act state that "all equipment or installations that are on the airport site and are considered obstacles should be mounted on fragile pedestals," but they say that they only apply to facilities within the runway end-of-the-road safety zone.
Therefore, the localizer at Muan Airport is a structure installed outside the longitudinal safety area, so the regulations do not apply.
In addition, the longitudinal safety zone is recommended to secure at least 90m from the end of the landing zone and 240m, but Muan Airport is 199m, so there is no problem.
However, as a result, the controversy over the localizer remains as it has become more likely to determine that this localizer impact was the decisive cause of the major catastrophe.
The possibility of an aircraft crashing off the runway during an abnormal landing is sufficiently predictable, and it is pointed out whether it is correct to put forward only installation regulations and no practical measures for safety.
