Seoul Hyehwa Police Station arrested Lee Kyu-sik, co-chairman of the Seoul Alliance for the Elimination of Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities, on charges of assaulting a hospital employee while entering Seoul National University Hospital.

Co-CEO Lee is accused of assaulting a hospital employee while attempting to enter a sit-in at Seoul National University Hospital in Jongno-gu, Seoul this morning (31st).

The institute claimed that the collision occurred when the entrance to the hospital was completely blocked from the entrance, and that CEO Lee seemed to have collided while resisting.

Earlier, the institute announced that Seoul National University Hospital did not comply with the mandatory employment system for the disabled and did not guarantee an environment in which the disabled could receive medical treatment alone despite more than nine years of demand, and that it would hold a sit-in in the lobby of the hospital from today (31st).
