Some parts of the black box, which will reveal the cause of the Jeju Air plane disaster, have been found missing, drawing attention to whether they will be restored.
In addition, contrary to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's explanation, it has been confirmed that the installation status of local risers at Muan Airport does not meet the installation manual standards.

Please explain the status of the black box first.

Yes, the investigation team who moved the black box to Seoul yesterday cleaned the black box to check the condition, but a problem was found in the flight recorder.
The connector connecting the flight recorder's information storage unit to the power supply unit is missing, the ministry said.
This connector is a kind of connecting line and is difficult to find at the site due to its small size, and we are investigating whether it is possible to extract information without this connector.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport judges that the condition of the voice recording device, another black box, has no problem.
In the meantime, 11 domestic accident investigators and eight U.S. joint investigators are investigating the accident site.
That includes one member of the Federal Aviation Administration, three members of the Transportation Safety Board and four Boeing employees who will discuss with them whether to disclose specific personal details and individual specialties, the ministry said.
Muan Airport, which was originally supposed to close until the dawn of the 1st, said it would extend its closure period until the 7th.

And many problems with the localizer facility that the aircraft hit are mentioned, but was there any explanation for this?
[Reporter]
There are continuous questions that the damage was caused by a hard and high concrete structure too close to the runway, but the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said there was no problem with the installation regulations.
The detailed guidelines of the Airport Facilities Act state that "all equipment or installations that are on the airport site and are considered obstacles should be mounted on fragile pedestals," but localizers, which are facilities outside the runway end safety zone, do not apply.
Therefore, the localizer at Muan Airport is a structure installed outside the longitudinal safety area, so the regulations do not apply.
However, there is also a strong refutation to this claim from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's manual on the protection of navigation safety facilities stipulates that in the case of a precise access runway, the runway end-to-end safety zone should be extended to the point where the localizer is installed.
When determining the length of the runway end safety zone, it shall be considered to be sufficient to include landing or passing before the runway,
It is stipulated that the runway end safety zone should be extended to this facility because the
localizer is usually the first obstacle.
In response, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said Muan Airport now operates as a non-rigid runway, but it has not been able to provide a clear explanation on compliance, and attention is being paid to what answers will come out later.
