The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said it will push for the establishment of graduate schools with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Economy and Finance as the revision of the Literature Promotion Act passed the National Assembly plenary session.
The Graduate School of Translation, co-promoted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Literature Translation Institute, will train 70 to 80 translation experts and award master's degrees every year with government support.
Through this, the government expects that the overseas translation of our literary works will grow to the next level as various translation experts, which were operated as non-degree programs, are systematized.
