Chief Justice of the Supreme Court "State institutions should not abuse their power"

Chief Justice Cho Hee-dae stressed in his New Year's address that "state agencies should use the power granted by the people properly."

In his 2025 New Year's address, Chief Justice Cho said all state agencies should not abuse the power granted by the people or evade service and responsibility for the people.

In addition, last year, the country was in a vortex of uncontrollable confusion due to martial law and impeachment, but it showed rapid and peaceful resilience.

At the same time, he said he is confident that if all the people are united in respect of democratic procedures based on the Constitution and the rule of law, we can leap to a more mature democratic rule of law.
