With the arrest warrant issued for President Yoon Suk Yeol, attention is being paid to whether it will be executed or not.

However, it is not easy to execute warrants for influential figures, but in the past, they have often been blocked by supporters.

I'm reporter Yeom Hye-won.

Back in April 2004, supporters filled the front of the Democratic Party.

An arrest warrant was issued for the former CEO of Hanwha Gap on charges of receiving illegal political funds worth 1 billion won, but supporters blocked the execution.

In the end, the prosecution, which failed to break through the violent crime despite six enforcement attempts, turned empty-handed and had no choice but to indict former representative Han without detention.

In the same year, Lee In-je, a lawmaker of the Liberal Democratic Party, was also issued an arrest warrant for receiving 250 million won in illegal presidential election funds.

The arrest warrant came out because of the prosecution's refusal to comply with all three summons notices, but supporters also blocked the front of the district office.

"Lee In-je!Lee In-je!"

Prosecutors finally succeeded in executing it after a month due to the prevention of strong job openings that even mobilized gas canisters and chains.

Conservative groups holding Taegeukgi are also gathering around Hannam-dong residence in response to the news of the arrest warrant for President Yoon Suk Yeol.

As the attempt to arrest a sitting president is unprecedented, the backlash against the execution of the warrant is expected to be more intense than ever.

The Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit and the police are struggling ahead of an unprecedented situation in the constitutional history, as to when to execute the warrant, how to prevent conflicts with supporters as well as the security service.
