Last year, North Korea, which exposed several abnormal trends with China amid close ties between North Korea and Russia, stopped short of reporting briefly that Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a New Year's card to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

The Korean Central News Agency reported today (1st) that President Xi's holiday cards were sent to Chairman Kim by the leaders of other countries, including Vietnam, Mongolia, and Tajikistan.

There was no mention that Chairman Kim sent a New Year's card to President Xi, which is in contrast to the detailed release of New Year's letters exchanged with Russian President Putin.

In addition, North Korea did not report on the closing ceremony of the 'Year of Friendship between North Korea and China', which was declared last year on the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations, so it seems to have concluded the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations without any special events.
