Gun launches process to dismiss Yeo In-hyeong and Lee Jin-woo from 'engaging in civil war'

The military has begun the process of dismissing Yeo In-hyeong, commander of the Armed Forces, and Lee Jin-woo, commander of the Armed Forces Capital Defense Command, who were arrested and charged with involvement in emergency martial law and rebellion.

As soon as the military completes the formation of the dismissal review committee, it will decide whether to dismiss the position through procedures such as establishing an operation plan.

The Ministry of National Defense suspended the two commanders immediately after the emergency martial law incident, but has delayed the dismissal of their posts, saying it will determine whether they will be dismissed after an official investigation confirmed the allegations of misconduct.

The Military Personnel Act stipulates that if you are investigated or investigated for misconduct and are unable to perform your duties normally due to serious misconduct, you can be dismissed from your position.
