In opposition to Acting President Choi Sang-mok's appointment of two of the three Constitutional Court justices recommended by the National Assembly yesterday, Choi said he has no plans to accept his resignation.

The Ministry of Strategy and Finance said acting Choi Sang-mok believes that he should work hard on both people's livelihood and state affairs stability now, and that he has no plans to accept his resignation.

Kim Tae-kyu, acting chairman of the Korea Communications Commission, who strongly protested at yesterday's Cabinet meeting with senior presidential secretaries, including Chief of Staff Chung Jin-suk, offered his resignation to Acting President Choi Sang-mok.

The presidential office yesterday expressed unusually strong regret over the appointment of Choi's two nominees for constitutional judges, saying they were beyond their authority.
