The Jeju Air plane accident investigation headquarters sent police and investigators to Jeju Air's Seoul office here.
The raid has been underway for nearly three hours.
There are three sites for seizure and search: the office of the department in charge of Muan Airport, the Muan branch office of the Busan Regional Aviation Administration, and the Jeju Air Seoul office at the Korea Airport Corporation in Gangseo-gu, Seoul.
This is the first forced investigation by the police on the fifth day of the plane crash on the 29th of last month.
Until now, the police have focused on identifying victims and analyzing DNA.
As the identification process for all 179 victims has been completed, it seems that they have begun to investigate the cause of the plane accident and secure evidence.
The investigation headquarters said it plans to secure all records related to the operation, maintenance, and facilities of the aircraft at Jeju Air's Seoul office, the operator of the disaster.
