The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport will conduct a special inspection on navigation safety facilities, including local risers and azimuth facilities, which have been blamed for increasing the damage of the Jeju Air passenger plane disaster.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said it will conduct a special inspection starting today to examine the location, height, and material of navigation safety facilities around airport runways across the country.

The special inspection will continue until next Wednesday and the 8th.
