Acting President Choi Sang-mok made the remarks in a closed-door meeting with the representatives of the bereaved families after visiting the joint memorial altar at Muan International Airport this afternoon (2nd).
At the meeting, the bereaved families said they were deeply hurt by social media posts slandering the victims, and acting chief executive Choi Sang-mok promised to strongly respond to police officials and come up with concrete measures in the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters.
In addition, the bereaved family's opinion that they would like to hold a memorial service if the delivery of the body proceeds, indicated that they would consider preparing specific measures.
Acting President Choi Sang-mok then visited the integrated support center at the site and encouraged the workers, saying, "Thanks to this, the bereaved families and the people are relieved."
