As the execution of the arrest warrant for Yoon Suk Yeol's president is on the countdown, politicians are also watching the situation closely.
Although the power of the people is an illegal arrest warrant, the Democratic Party of Korea has urged the immediate arrest of the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit, saying the investigation and trial are up to the president.

The ruling party members of the National Assembly's Legislation and Judiciary Committee pointed out that the court's process of issuing an arrest warrant for President Yoon was illegal and exceeded the authority of the judiciary.
Taking issue with the court's decision not to apply the Criminal Procedure Act, which states that "secret facilities for military ideology and public affairs cannot be searched without the consent of the person in charge," he even hinted at the possibility of "impeachment of judges."

However, the party leadership seems to draw a line on President Yoon's unilateral advocacy, but it is believed that a hasty side could face headwinds.
He reiterated that there should be no physical conflict in the execution of the warrant, saying that it is up to the president to decide whether to cooperate with the arrest warrant.
[Shin Dong-wook / Senior spokesman for People's Power: (The issue of warrant enforcement) is a very sensitive and sensitive time to see it as just a matter of law enforcement. I don't think it should be in a form that causes conflict in society....]
The Democratic Party of Korea issued an emergency standby order to all of its lawmakers as the execution of the arrest warrant was imminent.
Urging immediate execution of the warrant, the Presidential Security Service set the day that it would be an act of rebellion coordination to interfere with lawful law enforcement proceedings.
[Park Chan-dae / Minjoo Party floor leader: Immediately, arresting the Yoon Suk Yeol of the mob is the most important thing in suppressing the rebellion. As soon as he interferes with the execution of the arrest warrant, he becomes an accomplice in a civil war and obstructs the execution of special public affairs....]
He argued that the illegality of the emergency martial law situation should also be investigated in detail.
He demanded the formation of a special investigation team at the Ministry of National Defense, saying that attempts to cover up and reduce the incident were seen, such as the fact that the military's situation log was deleted at the time of martial law.
[Park Sun-won / Secretary of the 'Yoon Suk Yeol Insurrection Fact-Finding Team' of the Democratic Party of Korea: A very important situation log has been deleted. The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the acting Secretary of Defense should restore (the journal) and start a special investigation into this.]
While both the ruling and opposition parties are paying close attention to the execution of President Yoon's arrest warrant, they are also struggling to come up with countermeasures for the first-ever arrest of a sitting president in constitutional history and the aftermath that will follow.
