According to MBN on the 2nd, three or four Boeing 737 operating manuals were found around the aircraft in which the figures were recorded. The manual page, which is believed to have bounced off the aircraft due to the impact of
, contained information such as the distance to fly at minimum power with the landing gear lowered and the water crash landing procedure.
The page also identified signs of intentionally ripping it off in a hurry.
Experts analyzed that at the time of the accident, the captain tried to land the fuselage with both engines turned off and desperately responded by using the manual.Professor Ko Seung-hee of Silla University
said, "The chief seems to have sought a countermeasure through a manual with the bookkeeper."
Kim Kwang-il, a professor of aviation operations at Silla University, explained, "We would have used only the necessary parts in an urgent situation."
Meanwhile, the government is investigating the two-hour audio record before the accident by converting it into an analytical form to determine the cause of the disaster.
It plans to transfer data to the U.S. along with the FDR, a black box, for detailed analysis.
However, the analysis of FDR data is expected to take at least months to years.
The FDR is a device that records the flight path, altitude, and operation status of the aircraft, and 25 hours of data have been stored in the accident aircraft.
The specific cause of the Jeju Air accident currently under investigation will be announced later.
