The People's Power proposed to the Democratic Party of Korea that the National Assembly and the government should start working-level negotiations next week to deal with pending issues of people's livelihoods.

Kim Sang-hoon, chairman of the policy committee, said at the floor meeting that a meeting between the two parties' policy committee heads is needed to discuss the composition and operation of the consultative body after the national mourning period, which is due this week.

He added that he will give the people hope to overcome the crisis and stabilize the state affairs by promising to deal with the agreement on people's livelihood and future food bills such as the Special Act on Semiconductors.

He also stressed that if the National Assembly puts its heads together for the people's livelihood, it can stabilize public sentiment and lead to economic recovery, and that the people's power will fulfill their responsibilities to expedite economic policies such as the 18 trillion won economic reinforcement package.
