According to the Korea Performing Arts Integrated Computer Network (KOPIS), the musical with the highest ticket reservation in 2024 is Aladdin and Frankenstein is second.
Aladdin, based on Disney's animation of the same name, first started performing in Korea in November last year, with Kim Joon-soo, Jung Sung-hwa, Jung Won-young, Lee Sung-kyung, and Min Kyung-ah on stage.
Aladdin, which is scheduled to perform until June this year, suffered controversy over the privacy of the main character Kim Joon-soo in November last year, but has been successful enough to sell almost all seats until early March.
In addition, musicals Chicago, King's Boots, Jekyll & Hyde, and Hedwig, which opened in June last year, were ranked at the top of the ticket reservation rankings.
In particular, among the top 10 works, there were two domestic premieres of Aladdin and Versailles, and three domestic creative musicals were "Frankenstein," "Hero," and "Rose of Versailles."
