The police and the Joint Investigation Headquarters of the High-ranking Government Officials Crime Investigation Agency have suspended the execution of arrest warrants for President Yoon Suk Yeol.

The Joint Investigation Headquarters said it suspended the execution of the arrest warrant at around 1:30 p.m. today (3rd) because it was concerned about the safety of the field personnel after a confrontation with the security service at its official residence in Hannam-dong, Seoul.

He also said he deeply regrets the attitude of the suspect who did not comply with the law's procedures and said he would decide on future measures after reviewing them.

Earlier this morning, Gong Dong-bon left the Gwacheon Government Complex at around 6:14 a.m. and entered the presidential residence at around 8:04 a.m.

Police deployed 45 battalions of task force and 2,700 police personnel to the scene to maintain order.
