At around 4:40 p.m. today (3rd), a five-story underground and eight-story commercial building in Yatap-dong, Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, caught fire.

It was found that there were about 300 citizens in the building, which houses restaurants and hospitals.

Of these, 70 were evacuated, and 240 were rescued by firefighters.

More than 130 of those evacuated were smoky, 26 of whom were taken to hospitals.

Fortunately, no patients are known to be in critical condition.

Fire authorities said they received a number of reports of a fire in the kitchen on the first floor.
