The Constitutional Court will hold the first formal hearing of the impeachment trial of President Yoon Suk Yeol on the 14th.

After completing the preparation process in two sessions, we will begin a full-fledged hearing to see if President Yoon has a reason for impeachment.

The Constitutional Court designated the 5th date at once until the 4th of next month, including the 2nd hearing date on the 16th, two days later.

Excluding the holidays, the pleading process is held twice a week every Tuesday and Thursday.

President Yoon's late submission of the answer so far seems to have affected the Constitutional Court's pace of the impeachment trial.

The court would like to confirm the details of the declaration of emergency martial law in the second preparatory period. However,

President Yoon's side said the content was so vast that he would make enough claims at the upcoming hearing.

At the same time, he asked for understanding, saying that President Yoon is being robbed as an isolated underdog, so he needs time to prepare thoroughly.

At the time of hearing the impeachment case of former President Park Geun Hye, two to three trials were held every week,

Unless there are special circumstances, the Constitutional Court is expected to hold trials twice a week in the future.

However, it is still unknown when the conclusion of the impeachment trial will be made.

The National Assembly insists on a quick hearing, saying the public is anxious as the vacuum in state affairs continues, but

President Yoon's side is confronting that 180 days, the hearing period stipulated in the Constitutional Court law, should be guaranteed.
