The ruling and opposition parties are scrambling to come up with various follow-up measures, such as supporting the living expenses of the bereaved families of the Jeju Air plane disaster and enacting a special law.
There are not a few things that need to be negotiated between the ruling and opposition parties, and there are still question marks over whether a smooth agreement can be reached amid the impeachment situation with many unexpected variables.

The People's Power decided to support emergency living expenses and raise money for the bereaved families of the Jeju Air plane disaster.
The party also plans to discuss supporting psychological counseling and establishing memorial facilities.
[Kim Sang-hoon / Chairman of the People's Power Policy Committee: We will do our best to check the situation in detail and help the people to provide various support quickly.]
The Democratic Party also promised to enact a special law to guarantee victims and victims' rights and to faithfully compensate them.
The plan is to prepare a bill by referring to past cases of special laws, such as the Ferry Sewol disaster and the Itaewon disaster.
[Lee Jae-myung / Minjoo Party Leader: We must end this backward climate that values money and efficiency over life and safety.]
The ruling and opposition parties also agreed to form a special committee at the National Assembly level as soon as the funeral of the victims was completed.
However, it is an analysis that it is necessary to wait and see whether smooth negotiations can be made between the ruling and opposition parties over specific support measures. This is due to concerns that the victim's support measures could be put on the back burner in a situation where the conflict has deepened, such as counter-accusation of opposing lawmakers amid the impeachment of President
Yoon.
An official from the Democratic Party of Korea said, "There is no big disagreement with the ruling party on the details of the support, but
If an agreement is not reached within the special committee, it will be decided by general procedures such as a majority vote.
As the ruling and opposition parties have promised to support victims of the disaster in one voice, it is pointed out that the focus should be on recovering the damage rather than conflicts and battles caused by political turmoil.
