A fire broke out in an eight-story complex near Yatap Station in Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, and many citizens were once isolated.

A fire broke out on the first floor of an eight-story complex right next to Yatap Station in Seongnam, Gyeonggi-do, at around 4:30 p.m.

It is a building with hospitals, restaurants, and several stores, so there were a lot of rescue reports inside.

Some people rushed out of the window and rushed to the rooftop of the top floor of the shopping mall.

The fire department set up a ladder outside the building and even deployed an air mat in case rescuers jumped.

The fire department once issued the second stage of response, mobilizing personnel and equipment from neighboring fire departments, and completed the extinguishing work at around 6 p.m., an hour and a half.Seventy people in the

building evacuated themselves, and 240 were rescued by firefighters.

130 people were found to have inhaled smoke, of which dozens were taken to hospitals.

The fire department believes that the fire, which started at the restaurant on the first floor, has spread, and will conduct a joint inspection with police and KEPCO to determine the exact cause of the fire.
