Acting President Choi Sang-mok attended a series of business events to mark the New Year.
Following martial law and impeachment, as the trade environment became unstable ahead of the inauguration of the new Trump administration in the U.S., he took steps to take care of companies.

government said it would provide customized investment support and emphasized that we should overcome the crisis together.

He vowed to communicate closely with the National Assembly and provide all necessary support, including the passage of the pending semiconductor law.

Choi also participated in the macroeconomic-financial issues conference, a high-level economic consultative body, and the so-called "F4 meeting."
They urged to conduct a 24-hour emergency inspection of the financial and foreign exchange markets and take prompt market stabilization measures if volatility increases.
At the same time, he said he would chair this F4 meeting in person every week.
As it has repeatedly emphasized the decline in external credibility and the high exchange rate, it is interpreted as an intention to firmly protect the economic control tower.
For the first time since taking over as an agent, he met with the U.S. ambassador to South Korea and the commander of the U.S. Forces Korea to exchange opinions on the launch of the new Trump administration.
