Kim Hye-sung's major league destination has been decided as the winning team last season and the representative prestigious LA Dodgers.
Kim Hye-sung dramatically reported the news of the contract agreement early this morning, just before the posting deadline.
It is subject to a total of $12.5 million and 18.4 billion won guaranteed for three years, and up to $22 million and 32.4 billion won depending on the option to extend the next two years.
Kim Hye-sung's agency CAA said other clubs have made attractive offers, including the LA Angels offering up to $28 million, but Kim Hye-sung chose the Dodgers.
Kim Hye-sung left for the U.S. in December last year and received a lot of advice while training with Ohtani, who has the same agency,
Otani also explained that he had a positive impact on the contract, introducing Kim Hye-sung as a good player to the club.
Ohtani congratulated Kim Hye-sung on social media by leaving a Korean greeting, "Welcome my friend," along with a link to Kim Hye-sung's account.
The defending champion Dodgers, who won last year, are considered to have the best power this season, but their main second baseman resources, such as Gavin Lux and Chris Taylor, are pointed out as weaknesses.
Kim Hye-sung is younger than Lux and Taylor, who have to compete fiercely for the starting lineup, and some say he is ahead in defense and base running, but
It is a variable that the Dodgers' roster of
has been filled with outstanding players and has failed to put the minor league veto in the terms of the contract.
Kim Hye-sung plans to leave for LA in the U.S. soon to undergo a medical test and finalize her contract.
