Baseball national infielder Kim Hye-sung has agreed to join the LA Dodgers, a prestigious professional baseball team in the U.S. and Major League Baseball.

An official from CAA, Kim Hye-sung's agency, said Kim Hye-sung agreed to join the Dodgers on the condition that he receive up to $22 million and KRW 32.4 billion for 3+ (plus) two years.

The guarantee amount is $12.5 million in total over three years and 18.4 billion won in Korean won, and the option to extend the contract by two years is included.

The Dodgers also announced their joining through the club's SNS and announced that they had registered Kim Hye-sung on the 40-man roster.

As a result, Kim Hye-sung became the ninth KBO player to enter the U.S. professional baseball through the posting system after Choi Hyang-nam in 2010, Ryu Hyun-jin in 2013, and Lee Jung-hoo last year.

Kim Hye-sung plans to move to the U.S. soon to undergo a physical examination and finalize the contract.
