An arrest warrant for a YouTuber in his 30s was rejected for threatening to kill Lee Jae-myung.

A man in his 30s, who is suspected of making a threatening phone call to a YouTuber to kill Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, has been investigated without detention.

The Gwacheon Police Station in Gyeonggi-do said today (4th) that the arrest warrant was rejected during the interrogation of the suspect before the arrest of A at the Anyang Branch of the Suwon District Court.

Mr. A was arrested at his residence in Seoul around noon the day before (2nd) on charges of calling a YouTuber, a supporter of the Democratic Party, and saying he would kill representative Lee due to restrictions on caller labeling.

A told the police that he made a threatening call because he didn't like the YouTuber's usual support for Lee, but it has not been confirmed that he actually prepared for the crime against Lee.
