The Associated Press reported that the FBI found material used to make explosives while searching the home of the suspect, Shamsud Dean Zabar, in Houston.
In addition, as Zabar was found to have booked a truck on Nov. 14 last year, observers say Zabar has been preparing a terrorist plan at least six weeks ago.
U.S. investigators say a detonator of a simple bomb that Zabar installed near the scene of the attack was found in a truck to cause more damage, and that Zabar attempted to set fire to a rented house before he committed the attack.
In the midst of this, residents and tourists gathered on Bourbon Street, where the terrorist attacks took place, placing flowers and candles to commemorate the victims.President
Joe Biden will also visit here next week to express his condolences.
